They can also engage in chat.<\/li>\n<li>You can make a Drawing with many <strong>components<\/strong>. You can add images to your canvas as well as shapes, arrows, scribbles, text, and more.<\/li>\n<li>There are many <strong>sharing options<\/strong> for your Google Drawing. It can be private, you can share it with select people, or you can share it publicly on the web. You can choose whether people can view or edit your Drawing.<\/li>\n<li>Your Drawing is <strong>automatically saved<\/strong> as you work on it.<\/li>\n<li>Google Drawings can be <strong>embedded<\/strong> in blogs and websites. They can also be\u00a0<strong>downloaded<\/strong> as a JPEG, PNG, PDF etc.<\/li>\n<li>You can <strong>insert<\/strong> a Google Drawing into a Google Doc as <a href=\"https:\/\/jakemiller.net\/add-your-google-drawings-into-your-google-docs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">explained here by Jake Miller<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a graphic summary of the above. Teachers might also have a school Google account.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you haven&#8217;t got a Google account yet, you can sign up here:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/accounts.google.com\/signup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/accounts.google.com\/signup<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Google Drive is the place where your Google Drawings are stored. It&#8217;s also one of the ways you can start a new Google Drawing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You access your Google Drive on the web through this URL:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/drive.google.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on <strong>New<\/strong> in the top left-hand corner. Then click on More and then <strong>Google Drawings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theedublogger.com\/files\/2019\/09\/How-to-open-Google-Drawings-GIF.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-15629 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theedublogger.com\/files\/2019\/09\/How-to-open-Google-Drawings-GIF.gif\" alt=\"Start a new Google Drawing in your Google Drive by clicking on the link in the top left hand corner\" width=\"780\" height=\"502\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, you can type <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/drawings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/drawings<\/a> into your browser or access Drawings via the <a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/google-drawings\/mkaakpdehdafacodkgkpghoibnmamcme\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chrome app.\u00a0<\/a>If you use the app you can access Drawings when you&#8217;re offline.<\/p>\n<h2>How To Make And Save A Google Drawing<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice when you start a new Google Drawing, using the methods described above, you will be presented with a blank canvas.<\/p>\n<p>Creating a drawing is straightforward. Here are the basics of creating and saving your work.<\/p>\n<h3>1) Open Google Drawings<\/h3>\n<p>Access drawings via your Google Drive or the Chrome App. Alternatively, just type <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/drawings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/drawings<\/a> into your browser.<\/p>\n<h3>2) Change your image size (optional)<\/h3>\n<p>If you want your image to be a<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> certain size<\/span> (e.g. the size of your blog header), you can change this in <strong>File &gt; Page Setup &gt; Custom<\/strong>. Drawings can also be embedded straight into a blog post or page (as demonstrated above).<\/p>\n<p>Examples of images you could create in Google Drawings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blog headers<\/li>\n<li>Other blog images (e.g. see the example of the promotional graphic at the start of this post.
